Are you seeking to discover how to find a lifeline? If so, an overinflated pride can get in the way, making necessary lifelines hard to spot. We all have our ego side. You know, the part of you that shouts in phrases like, “I can handle it.” I have it all under control.” “I don’t need any help.” Or worst yet, “Things are just fine the way they are. I don’t need to change.” That ego remains alive and active, needing proper restraint like a disobedient child. These lies keep us trapped in dysfunction, obstructing our growth, healing, and development.
Don’t be fooled.
Too many of us hold these falsehoods under lock-and-key protection as if securing our most valuable treasures. Yet, these are the very entities that keep hatred, division, and dysfunction of all types alive. Even so, don’t be fooled. If you extensively search your soul, you will find at least one hidden guile of this sort within you. So, listen to your truthful confession. It will reveal how resistance smacks you in the face when you attempt to extract Deception’s root.
These most difficult journeys are where we must tread toward if we are to achieve maximum growth. Remember, God never intended us to travel anywhere, especially to these treacherous places alone. Our Savior always remains at our side, even when we feel completely isolated.

Keep your eyes wide open.
God, the All-Knowing, sees the extent of our travels. Rest assured, our Deliverer knows what we need to safely and successfully make it to the other side. Keep your eyes wide open, and you will see lifelines placed all along the way. In fact, they often show up in the most unexpected places. Sometimes these lifelines are bold and obvious, but at other times they come as gentle as a whisper. https://www.crystalmmhuntley.com/let-the-soft-whisper-guide-your-way/(opens in a new tab) Whichever format is presented to you, trust in the Almighty’s love and grasp on!
The Hidden Diamond
In my book, The Hidden Diamond, Aldous remains locked in his old harmful patterns. Fed by his deceptive ego, he revels in his futile methodologies. His chosen way of life causes him to exist day after day as if plucked-out eyes have rendered him blind. Enveloped within this familiar comfort, Aldous savors his inability to see or even care about the results of his self-serving actions.
Aldous would have been content to live out the rest of his life in this manner. Subsequently, he would have been happy to ignore how his actions affected others. Frankly, he didn’t care. Does this type of person sound familiar? Indeed, we all have met people like Aldous. And many carry scars inflicted by the Aldouses that have entered their lives. Even more, some of you who are reading this blog may even be an Aldous.
God’s love does not discriminate.
We all are equal in the sight of our Holy Deliverer. This equality includes those treated as lesser in value by certain other humans. Our Savior desires to move all of us out of such a dysfunctional methodology. Only then can our Heavenly Parent direct us into a space of true harmony. But for this to happen, we must be brave, open our eyes, and stand up to our greatest fears. Remember, no matter what you might face, you will never confront it alone. God is handing you all you need so you can safely traverse to the other side.
Aldous needed the unleashed honesty of Dakota, the five-year-old boy who moved across the street. God used Dakota as a lifeline for Aldous, yet as is typical, Aldous resisted. But, once his hunger for freedom from his troubled past grew intense enough, Aldous could withstand no more. He reached out and grabbed ahold of that lifeline. In the same way, God always keeps a lifeline held out for you. Trust and grasp on.
